European Foundation Aims to Advance Standards in ADHD Coaching

The ADHD Coaching Europe Foundation, a non-profit foundation registered in Malta, is articulating its position on professional ADHD Coaching and calling for structured development and shared standards across Europe.

As ADHD is increasingly better understood across the lifespan, the foundation highlights the need for clear definitions, competence requirements, and professional quality standards within the field of ADHD Coaching. Clear definitions and standards enable meaningful dialogue with healthcare systems, academic institutions, and policymakers.

The foundation underscores that ADHD Coaching does not replace medical or psychological treatment. When delivered by trained ADHD Coaching professionals operating within defined competence and ethical standards, it may serve as a complementary support focused on functioning, self-regulation, and quality of life. In defined contexts, and where appropriate, ADHD Coaching may also function as a structured support intervention in its own right.

The foundation believes Europe is well positioned to lead in establishing cross-national coherence and clearer definitional consensus. It seeks constructive engagement in formal guideline and framework processes where ADHD Coaching is considered within broader support systems.

“Our aim is to contribute to progress through clarity and shared standards,” says Marie Enback, President of the foundation.
